HSL Extends Insurance To Contract Workers

Visakhapatnam: In a significant step towards enhancing the welfare of its contract and hired workforce, Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) has introduced an unnamed, comprehensive Group Personal Accident (GPA) insurance policy with New India Assurance Co. Ltd.

The initiative covers over 2,500 contract workers, apprentices, trainees, in addition to regular employees. Each individual is insured for Rs 20lakh in the event of workplace accidents, ensuring protection for everyone working at HSL, regardless of employment type.

“Safety and well-being are paramount to HSL, serving as the foundation of its continued growth and success,” said Cmde Hemant Khatri, Chairman & Managing Director, HSL. He said HSL is committed to the welfare of its employees and extended workforce and believes in safety for all.
